Indiana NOFAS (INOFAS) is excited to announce the launch of their Pre-Spring Break FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) Prevention Campaign. INOFAS is an affiliate of the National Organization for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) and a subsidiary of Mental Health America of Indiana (MHAI) located at 1431 N Delaware Street in Indianapolis.
INOFAS has a mission to prevent prenatal exposure to alcohol, drugs and other substances known to harm fetal development by raising awareness and supporting women before and during their pregnancy, and supports individuals, families and communities living with FASD, NAS and other preventable intellectual/developmental disabilities.
With 52% of pregnancy unplanned and most pregnancies not being confirmed until the 6-8 weeks mark, INOFAS hopes to encourage women to check out the risks of prenatal exposure to alcohol before they are pregnant.
Look for Indy bus shelters, billboards and bus wraps with the INOFAS logo and watch for our #JustSoYouKnow PSA on Comcast. You can find more information at https://indiananofas.org/justsoyouknow/, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram: Indiana NOFAS.
