The Division of Medical Genetics is uniquely qualified to treat a wide variety of genetic diseases and has immediate access to three excellent onsite genetics laboratories. The program is an intensive, multi-agency effort providing comprehensive home-based services to pregnant and postpartum women and their families affected by alcohol or other drugs and/or HIV. Using a community-oriented approach, this project provides individualized, culturally appropriate services including crisis intervention, support for substance abuse treatment, supportive counseling, child health and development, parenting education, and connection to other community services.

Funding is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
