Services for Adults
Individuals with FASD may need help in every aspect of their life. There are no consistent systems in place that assist those living with FAS. It is difficult for adults to receive services from developmental disability agencies unless they have met the eligibility criteria before 22 years of age. Often times individuals qualify for Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, and Section 8 Housing subsidies because they are low income. Though none of these federal services provide the proper network for FASD affected individuals, they should be taken advantage of when possible.
