Let's Work Together

Join the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS) in our efforts to prevent fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD)—the leading preventable cause of mental retardation and birth defects. We are pleased to announce our Affiliation Program. The goal of NOFAS' Affiliation strategy is to develop mature relationships with state and/or tribal entities that have similar missions and visions to NOFAS. Since FASD exists in every community nationwide, NOFAS will not consider its affiliation efforts complete until a network of affiliates has been developed in every state and community throughout the United States.

In order to gain an understanding of what it means to become a NOFAS Affiliate, please review the 'Guidelines of Affiliation'. If you wish to apply, download a copy of the 'Application for Affiliation' and submit it to NOFAS by September 30, 2004. NOFAS will review all applications and decide which applicants will be accepted to affiliate with NOFAS by October 31, 2004. Unfortunately, we only will be able to accept a handful of applicants in the first cycle of our Affiliation Program, though the program will be expanded in years to come. For more information, or if you have questions, contact Adam Litle at (202) 785-4585 or at Litle@nofas.org.
