NOFAS is hosting, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: Policy and Legislative Priorities, on Wednesday, June 24, 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Washington, D.C. Participants will discuss and prioritize the FASD agenda for the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. FASD experts, families and advocates will be joined by key congressional staff. The discussion will guide the development of legislation in the U.S. House and Senate and policy recommendations for the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Justice, Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Interior, and the Social Security Administration.
NOFAS is sponsoring a U.S. Senate Briefing, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: An Update and Recommendations for Congressional Action, on Wednesday, June 24, Noon – 1:00 p.m. in Washington, D.C. NOFAS will present an FASD briefing for U.S. Senate staff featuring the current state of knowledge and recommendations for legislative action.
NOFAS co-sponsors U.S. House of Representatives Briefing with the Friends of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
