Hope for Women in Recovery Summits

Circle of Hope logoWith support from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), "Hope for Women in Recovery" is a series of statewide conferences devoted to presenting information about FASD to women in recovery. These summits include town hall meetings where state legislatures hear firsthand accounts of the challenges that women in recovery who have FAS/FASD children face in receiving health services. The summits serve as powerful mechanisms for the exchange of information for the women, and they also are an effective tool for empowering state legislative officials to make informed policy decisions.

Our mission is to support and strengthen recovery efforts for women who drank during pregnancy. The COH provides mentoring, family support, resources, a web site with a discussion board, and updates through a quarterly newsletter.
