DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Topic: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder FASD </strong
 ></p>\n<p>The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabiliti
 es’ Suicide Prevention Program\, in partnership with the Supreme Court of 
 Georgia’s Committee on Justice for Children\, is pleased to announce the 1
 0th Annual Professional Seminar Series.</p>\n<p>The purpose of this series
  is to provide individuals who work with special needs and at-risk childre
 n\, including professionals and family members\, with an understanding of 
 specific diagnoses and their associated interventions\, which may include 
 pharmacological\, behavioral and family interventions. Each program will r
 eference the risk of suicide in children with the particular diagnosis bei
 ng addressed and provide resources for suicide prevention.</p>\n<p>The sem
 inar series is designed to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and to be in
 clusive of all parties that support children and youth: parents\, foster p
 arents and community organizations\, local government entities\, state dep
 artments and their contracted provider organizations.</p>\n<p>Application 
 for CEU’s have been submitted for Social Workers\, Professional Counselors
 \, and Substance Abuse Professionals.  There is not cost to participants f
 or these CEUs.</p>\n<p>Four (4) CLEs (continuing legal education units) ar
 e available per seminar at a cost of $5.00 per credit hour. (Checks should
